Music Direction + Theatre

Maria has worked extensively with youth theatre groups as a music director, guiding young singers through learning and performing musical theatre work. She has also enjoyed working with adults on stage and in concert, as well as in rehearsal studios and audition rooms. She plays keys for— and occasionally conducts—musical theatre orchestra pits.

• Creative Ensemble Musical: And They Were Silent (2021) at CAP 21/Molloy College in New York, NY

• a virtual reading of Act I of undecided (2020) by Stephanie L. Carlin

• Sweet Charity (2019) with the Old Library Theatre in Fair Lawn, NJ

• Into the Woods (2015) and The Fantasticks (2016) with the Columbia Gorge School of Theatre in Portland, OR

• Various shows with Brooklyn Children’s Theatre (2018-2020)

• Sweeney Todd (2012) with Midnight Cabaret at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY

• all conducted from keys, with the exception of regular baton for Sweeney Todd
